Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched simultaneous searches at seven locations linked to Asit Kumar Patra, Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) of Dharmasala Block in Jajpur district.
The action is based on allegations of the acquisition of disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
The search is being carried out by a team comprising of eight Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) , nine inspectors, and other supporting staff after Special Vigilance Judge issued search warrants against Patra.
The searches are currently underway at locations which include a four-storeyed building at Chorda near Kanheipur in Jajpur Road, his flat in Metro Avenue Apartment at Chauliaganj in Cuttack, his native village house at Garadeswar near Sundarimuhan in Jajpur, a house belonging to a relative at Sanabanasta in Bhadrak, his residential government quarter at Dharmasala block in Jajpur, his office room at the block, and a homestead plot at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
