Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at five places associated with Sarada Prasad Gauda, Assistant Engineer of Bhubaneswar R&B Division-5, on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous searches were conducted at his triple-storied building in Ganga Nagar area of Bhubaneswar, his parental house at Badagada in Ganjam, his father-in-law’s house at Sorada in Ganjam, a relative’s house at Badagada in Ganjam, and his office room at Nirmana Soudha in Bhubaneswar.
Earlier on Tuesday, Vigilance had raided the office and residence of Assistant Executive Engineer Rabindra Nath Pradhan of the General Public Health (GPH) Division – II in the city. As per the preliminary estimate of the anti-corruption agency, Pradhan and his family members allegedly own immovable and movable property to the tune of a whopping Rs 6.53 crore.
