Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested Dharanidhar Nayak, Deputy Director of Mines (DDM) at Talcher in Odisha’s Angul district for possessing disproportionate assets worth crores.
According to the Vigilance department, searches conducted on Nayak’s properties revealed a staggering array of assets including two multi-storeyed buildings, one 3-BHK flat worth approximately Rs.1.30 crore and one duplex of area 1800 sqft at Bhubaneswar, two market complexes with 19 shops, 11 plots, deposits Rs. 53.53 Lakhs, household articles worth Rs.54.70 lakhs and cash over Rs.9.85 lakhs.
Nayak failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the accumulation of these assets, leading to his arrest. He will be produced in court today.
The Cuttack Vigilance Police registered a case against Nayak and will produce him in court today.
