Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched simultaneous searches at six locations linked to Assistant Executive Engineer Dileswar Majhi, Titlagarh R&B Sub-Division, under Kantabanji R&B Division, Balangir, on Thursday.
The raids were conducted following allegations of the acquisition of disproportionate assets.
The locations searched include a double-storeyed building in Sambalpur’s Unit-16, a double-storeyed building and a market complex in Brajrajnagar, Jharsuguda, two housing board houses in Lahandabud, Jharsuguda, an office chamber in the R&B Division office in Kantabanji, and a government quarter in Titlagarh.
A team of 5 Deputy Superintendents of Police, eight Inspectors, two Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and other supporting staff, armed with search warrants issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance, Baangir, carried out the operation. The searches are currently underway, and further reports are awaited.
