Cuttack: Officials of Odisha Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids on five known addresses of the Deputy Director of the State Agriculture Department. He has been accused of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids were conducted on the residence of the accused, Ramesh Chandra Das here in Cuttack and at other places associated with him. Several important documents are being scrutinized as this story was being filed.
While an official statement from the Vigilance Department is awaited, Das refuted all charges. He said that both he and his wife are working professionals and all of their properties are self-acquired.
