Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday unearthed a 3-storey building estimated to be around Rs 1.3 crore, a flat, and several fund deposits worth about Rs 1.01 crore during simultaneous searches on properties linked to Bandita Mohapatra, former Planning Member of Sambalpur Development Authority (SDA).
The following assets of Mohapatra were unearthed by the Vigilance sleuths today:
- A triple-storey building with an area of approx 5400 sqft at Unit-19, Soubhagya Nagar, Bhubaneswar, estimated to be around Rs 1.30 crore.
- A flat at Netaji Subash Enclave, Gadakana, Bhubaneswar.
- Four plots in and around Baripada town.
- Cash to the tune of Rs 3,77,338.
- Deposits of over Rs 1.01 crore in Mutual Funds.
- A four-wheeler (Swift DZIRE) and a two-wheeler.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the buildings/flats/plots is being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing and the remaining deposits by Mohapatra are also under verification.
The searches are still underway and more details are awaited.
