Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance department has conducted searches on properties linked to Jagannath Pattnaik, Executive Engineer at the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), and his family, revealing substantial assets. The searches are part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets.
Ongoing house searches linked to Pattnaik and his family have revealed multiple assets, including real estate, vehicles, agricultural properties, and other valuables, as detailed below:
– A triple-storeyed building measuring approximately 4,560 sq. ft. located on plot No RP-12, Badagada, Bhubaneswar
– A farmhouse spread over 1.57 acres at Mouza Ranapur, Balianta Tahasil, Khordha district, featuring:
– One double-storeyed building of approx. 833 sq. ft.
– An additional house of approx. 570 sq. ft.
– A fish farm pond and plantation with various fruit trees.
– A poultry farm housing 15 chicks.
– Land Parcels: Three high-value plots, including two in Badagada and one at Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar.
– Valuables and Investments: Approximately 200 grams of gold, with bank deposits and other financial investments under assessment.
– Vehicles: One four-wheeler (Maruti Grand Vitara) and one two-wheeler.
– Other Items: A country-made gun and antler horns.
Meanwhile, the Vigilance Technical Wing is conducting detailed measurements and valuation of the identified properties and assets. A locker maintained in the name of Pattnaik’s spouse remains unopened and is under further investigation.
