Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths conducted simultaneous searches at 10 locations across Bhubaneswar, Jatni, Berhampur, and Ganjam, uncovering disproportionate assets worth crores from Surjyamani Pattajoshi, the executive officer of Jatni Municipality.
The searches revealed a staggering array of assets, including:
- A flat in Stalwart Pravati Mansion, Jagamara, Bhubaneswar
- A 2 BHK flat in Sriram Mansion, Unit-III, Kharvel Nagar, Bhubaneswar
- A 4.5 BHK flat in Delta Square, Bhubaneswar, purchased in the name of his spouse. An advance of 56.04 lakh paid by Sri Pattajoshi to Harshapriya Construction Pvt. Ltd.
- A four-storeyed building and a double-storeyed building in Berhampur
- High-Value Plots: 11 plots in Jatni, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, and other parts of Ganjam
- Rs 17 lakhs in cash and 150 grams of gold
- A Maruti Wagon R and three two-wheelers
- 20 bank accounts, postal deposits, insurance, and other investments, which are being ascertained
- One locker in the name of his spouse at SBI Branch, Medical campus, Berhampur, which is yet to be opened
The Vigilance Department’s action comes amid allegations of disproportionate assets against Pattajoshi. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
