Bhubaneswar: The State Vigilance on conducted searches on the premises of Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Jaydas Khora in Malkangiri and Koraput districts. According to preliminary estimate by the Vigilance, Khora and his family members own assets to the tune of Rs 1.11 crore.
It took five teams of the Vigilance for conducting searches and evaluate Khora’s assets which run into crores. He owns a palatial house in Koraput estimated at Rs 41.24 lakh, and a triple-storeyed house in LIC colony worth Rs 33.67 lakh, the Vigilance said.
According to the Vigilance, the ASI owns 290 grams gold and silver ornaments and bank & insurance deposits to the tune of Rs 23.91 lakh. “Further searches are continuing so more assets are likely to be unearthed and overall valuation might increase. Enquiry is in progress,” a Vigilance official said.
