Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday approved the upgradation of Vikram Deb Autonomous College in Jeypore, Koraput district, to an affiliated university. Earlier, the college was under Berhampur University.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to attend the platinum jubilee celebrations of the College on Friday.
It was established by Vikram Deo Verma, erstwhile king of Jeypore, in 1947, Vikram Deb Autonomous College got its autonomous status in 2004.
