Balasore: Violence erupted during bike rally on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Balasore on Sunday afternoon.
Some anti social pelted stones during the procession in which five persons sustained injuries. They have been admitted to a hospital in the town.
The vehicle of the SP got damaged in the stone pelting.
Adequate police forces have been mobilised following the incident.
On the direction of SP Sagarika Nath, police conducted flag march in view of possible law and order situation.
Police said the situation is now under control. Police also launched an investigation to nab the stone pelters.
