Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday appointed 1996 batch IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav as the Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 19 of Shree Jagannath Temple Act, 1954 (Odisha Act, II of 1955), the State government hereby appoints Vir Vikram Yadav as Chief Administrator, SJTA, Puri, in addition to his present duties, from the date he actually takes over charge as such,” said an official notification issued by the Law Department.
Yadav is currently serving as Principal Secretary to the Government in the Works and Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare departments.
His appointment as Chief Administrator, SJTA will be in addition to his present duties.
The State government earlier on April 5 transferred and posted the Additional Chief Administrator and In Charge Chief Administrator of SJTA as Additional Secretary, Works Department.
Notably, Yadav had earlier held the post of Chief Administrator of SJTA in a bureaucratic reshuffle by the government in April 2022.
