Bhubaneswar: Two persons, including a woman, died in a wall collapse at Bijadihi village under Kuchinda police limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Namita Patel, owner of the house whose wall collapsed, and Lalit Dehury, a labourer of Kindira village.
Namita had engaged Lalit Dehury to demolish the wall of her old house. As the wall was old and weak, it fell on Namita and Lalit when the latter was demolishing it this morning.
Both, the house owner and the labourer were rescued and rushed to the Kuchinda Sub-Divisional Hospital where the doctors declared them ‘brought dead’.
