Proclaimed Offenders Attack Police In Kalahandi, Arrested

Jaipatna (Kalahandi): Five police personnel including the IIC of Jaipatna police station in Kalahandi district were injured when they were attacked by proclaimed offenders at Mangalpur village while they had gone to execute Non Bailable Warrants (NBWs)against them by the court on Tuesday.

The accused persons identified as Alekhniranjan Suna, Debaki Suna, Sanei Suna, Sana Suna and Himanshu Suna of Mangalpur village allegedly threw chilli powder on the police team and attacked them with swords. Even one of the accused allegedly bit the ear of a policeman. The injured policemen were provided with medical aid at the Community Health Centre here.

Meanwhile, police with the help of additional policemen from Aampani have been able to arrest the accused persons.
