**Balasore:** A 16-feet long King Cobra was rescued in an injured condition by wildlife officials near Kalijhati village in Nilagiri area here today morning.
According to reports, the snake was severely injured and was groaning for help. After being spotted by locals, the information reached forest officials and they sent a team.
Led by wildlife warden Prakash Mardaraj, the team rescued the king cobra and it was admitted in Nilagiri veterinary hospital for treatment.
After its treatment, the cobra was set free in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary.
