Bhubaneswar: As the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) has geared up for dealing with the emergency post landfall of the fast approaching very severe cyclonic storm FANI, food packets in a large scale have been readied to be dispatched to the districts apprehended to be affected.

During the visit, our camera team captured the scene of packaging where over 30 labourforce was seen doing the job dedicatedly for their bretheren in distress amid and aftermath of the natural calamity.
Packeting of stocked ‘chuda’ (flattened rice), ‘guda’ (jaggery), salt, candle, match boxes, biscuit, ORS, water bottle, etc was on full spree at this internationally-acclaimed Kalinga Stadium.
As per the official sources, each food packet contains 2 kg of ‘chuda’, ‘guda’ ½ kg, salt 100 gram, one candle, two packets of biscuit, ORS one packet and one match box.
Also the sources informed that at least one OSDMA staff will be deputed with each dispatch to each of the vulnerable districts.
By today evening, packeting will be over and disptached to the affected districts.
Initially, one lakh food packets have been prepared while the State Administration is fully ready for the further need, the OSDMA sources informed.
