**Keonjhar:** In yet another incident of sheer negligence, an elephant was seen this morning near Jaruli station crossing the rail line without any precautions.
The jumbo was seen near the tracks at around 7 am in the morning. It is notable to mention here that several elephant deaths were reported in the county last year due to mowing down of train. According to the information shared by ECoR, no intimation from the Forest department had been received regarding the animal’s movement in the area.
Meanwhile, Divisional Forest Officer of Keonjhar said, “We are enquiring about the incident to find out how this animal was not in the radar of Forest Department. We appreciate the efforts taken immediately by the Railway Department for showing the shared responsibility of Conservation of Wildlife.”
