Watch: Video Of Baby Elephant Struggling To Cross Forest Obstacle Goes Viral

Bhubaneswar: A striking video of a baby elephant struggling to wriggle out with its small legs in the forest, while its mother walks ahead quickly, has gone viral on social media.

The video was shared by Susanta Nanda, former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), on his social media account X (formerly Twitter). It has captivated viewers, leaving them in awe of the calf’s determination and adorable frustration.

In the video, the baby elephant struggles to move its small legs as it gets stuck behind a wooden block on the forest road, while its mother continues ahead, unaware of the little calf’s struggle.

The video captures the calf’s efforts to push past the block and when it finally succeeds, the calf shows a moment of frustration by kicking the wood. The final look of determination is truly heartwarming and showcases the calf’s resilience.

Sharing the video, former PCCF (Wildlife) Nanda wrote in the caption, “Chotu wriggles out with its small legs… See the anger at the end.”

Since being shared, the video has garnered 27.2K views, more than 915 likes, and numerous comments, with many viewers praising the calf’s spirit. Comments such as “Kido is a fighter,” “So sweet,” and many others have also included laughing emojis.
