Kendrapara: Displaying daredevilry courage, villagers of Arada in Mahakalpada area here rescued a 10-ft-long female crocodile and 60 eggs from a bamboo bush on Sunday.
Locals gathered around to witness the sight as few men of the village tied the crocodile’s mouth and carried it on their backs. On rescuing the reptile and the eggs laid by it, they informed the forest department about the incident.
On intimation, forest officials led by Mahakalpada ranger Bijay Parida reached the spot, where the villagers handed over the catch to the concerned authorities.
