Subarnapur: Incessant overnight rain has led to an alarming rise in the water level in the Ghunginala and it is now flowing 3 feet over the Ghunginala bridge on Birmaharajpur-Amarpali road disrupting road communication to Sambalpur. The floodwater has also inundated adjoining regions.

As a result, the road from Birmaharajpur to Amarpali, Bhalpadar, Charmal, and others in the area have been closed. While the local residents are facing difficulties in commuting, traffic has been stranded on both sides of the canal.
