Soro: West Bengal Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya’s husband Samir Bose and three others sustained injuries after the SUV in which they were travelling met with an accident in the afternoon today on national highway no.16 near Alipur under Soro police limits in Balasore district.
The four were admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) here.
According to reports, Samir Bose (73) and four others were travelling to Bhubaneswar to attend a Dog Show in an SUV.
The driver of the SUV lost control over the wheel on national highway No. 16 near Alipur under Soro police limits which led to the accident. As a result of which four out of the five inside the vehicle including Samir Bose got injured. The other injured are S Raman, S Chatterjee (53) and Shyamal Bose (62).
On being informed Highway Patrol rushed to the spot and rescued them.
As the health condition of S Chatterjee and Shyamal Bose deteriorated they have been shifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Soro police have seized the SUV and are investigating the matter.
