Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted moderate rain with chances of thundershowers and lightning in some regions of Nuapada, Bolangir, and Bargarh districts within the next 3 hours.
The weather office has also predicted one or two spells of intense to heavy rain in these three districts.
Issuing an orange warning, the IMD cautioned people about waterlogging, occasional poor visibility, and traffic disruptions in urban areas.
The local weather office, through its nowcast notification, has urged people to avoid movement in waterlogged areas and take necessary measures for drainage of excess water.
People are also advised to be vigilant about changing weather and act accordingly.
