Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, and Rayagada.
Whereas, heavy rainfall is also likely to occur in some parts of the Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Bolangir districts.
According to the weather bulletin, thunderstorms along with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north interior Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, and coastal Odisha.
The regional centre of IMD, in its twin-city forecast, has predicted the possibility of one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, Cuttack is expected to receive moderate rain and thunderstorms.
The seasonal cumulative rainfall realized from June 1 to July 15, 2024, is 259.6 mm, against the normal value of 357.4 mm.
