Bhubaneswar: The Well Marked Low Pressure Area now lies over northwest Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar and associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level.
The system is likely to move west-northwestwards across south Bihar and southern parts of Uttar Pradesh during the next two days.
Under its influence, fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar today and over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during July 31 to August 2.
Besides, isolated extremely heavy falls are also likely over East Madhya Pradesh today.
Strong winds with speed ranging from 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph are very likely over Northeast and ajoining Northwest and adjoining central Bay of Bengal today. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into these places.
