Bhubaneswar: The situation across Odisha is grim as a flood threat remains imminent with heavy rains lashing the state during the last five days.
The well-marked low pressure over the Bay of Bengal intensified into Depression today morning.
The system is located 10 kms from Digha in southeast direction and 90 kms from Balasore in east northeast direction.
“During the next 6 hours, moving in West Northwestward direction, the system will hit land at Digha, and will remain in force for the next 24 hours,” the IMD said.
