Bhubaneswar: The western disturbance will be passing over northern parts of the State from January 21. Under its influence, several parts of Odisha will witness rainfall over the next five days, Director, IMD, Bhubaneswar, Dr HR Biswas said.
On Friday, coastal Odisha districts and northern districts like Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj are very likely to have rainfall. Similarly, on Saturday, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Deogarh, mostly north interior parts will witness rains, said Biswas.
“On January 23, light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur in most parts of the State. On January 24, the intensity will be less, but north coastal districts and adjoining interior Odisha will witness light to moderate rainfall.”
Dry weather will prevail in the Capital City on Friday and subsequently cloudy weather will begin from Saturday onwards. On January 23 and 24, it is very likely to rain in Bhubaneswar, Biswas added.
