Bhubaneswar: The heat wave and humid conditions continue to hit the people of the State, especially the western part, as eight weather stations recorded temperature above 45 degrees C on Thursday.
At 46.5 degrees C, Titilagarh became a frying pan while Bolangiri and Sonepur sizzled at 46.4 and 46.2 degrees C respectively.
Bargarh witnessed 46 degrees C while the mercury level touched 45.2 degrees C in Sambalpur. Nuapada, Bhawanipatna, Jharsuguda were grappled with the torrid heat at 45 degrees C each.
Twin city Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 34 and 35 degrees C maximum temperature.
The IMD predicted hot and humid conditions over coastal Odisha during the next five days due to the absence of any major synoptic situation and the presence of high humidity in the lower level.
