Bhubaneswar: The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral & adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level persists. It is likely to move slowly northwestwards across north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said in its midday weather bulletin issued today.
Under the impact of the system, Odisha is likely to experience wet spells during the next five days with heavy to very heavy rainfall at places.
Earlier in the day, light to moderate rain/thundershower occurred at most places over the districts of South Odisha, North Coastal Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha with Heavy Rainfall at one place over the district of Malkangiri of South Interior Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha, North Interior Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha.
ORANGE WARNING(BE PREPARED) Heavy to very heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput.
YELLOW WARNING:(BE UPDATED) Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Under the influence of well marked low pressure area over Westcentral & adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts & and strong monsoon flow, Squally weather with gusty surface wind speed reaching 45 to 55 kmph is very likely along & off Odisha coast, West central adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal till 27th July 2023.
