Wet Spell To Continue In Several Parts Of Odisha For 2 More Days

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in several places of Odisha during the next two days, predicted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its mid-day bulletin on Friday. According to the weather office, the wet spell will continue for two more days before the intensity of monsoon rain reduces in the state.

Weather forecast and warning for Odisha districts for the next five days

Day 1: (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 26.08.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur in many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated)

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur in one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Angul, Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore,

Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput districts of Odisha.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 27.08.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput and at a few places over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur in one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, and Koraput. Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Rayagada, and Nawarangpur.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 28.08.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur in a few places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.08.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of south Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 30.08.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of south Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.
