Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reacted strongly to his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee for her anti-national, anti-Odisha remark amid rising tension over the rape and murder of the young doctor in the neighbouring State.
While addressing the student wing of TMC, Banerjee on Wednesday issued a strong warning saying, “Remember if Bengal is burnt, then Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Delhi will also be burnt.”
Responding to Banerjee’s remark, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said “Who gave you the right to make such objectionable remarks on Odisha?

Odisha is a peaceful State and its citizens are also responsible and aware. Our people will never accept your hateful attitude, negative comments and insensitive attitude towards the State, Majhi stated on an ‘X’ post.
Without giving justice to the victim of a heinous crime, you (Mamata Banerjee) are making such a comment which is dangerous for the country, Majhi added, urging him to refrain from making such remarks.
