Bhubaneswar: The woman, Archana Nag, currently in judicial custody on charges of extortion, today sought to know why her associate Shardhanjali Behera has not been arrested.
While being taken to the court for production before the magistrate, Nag was confronted by media persons who sought to know her position in the case.
She further added that probably Shradhanjali is being protected by influential people due to which she has not been arrested yet.
Earlier, on January 17, the Orissa High Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Shradhanjali Behera, one of the accused named in the high-profile Archana Nag honeytrap case.
On November 23, Shradhanjali appeared before the ED in relation to the money laundering and blackmailing case involving Archana Nag.
Shardhanjali is suspected to be an associate of Archana in the past. But later both had fallen apart.
Shraddhanjali had filed a complaint with Khandagiri police in which she had alleged that Archana had trapped and forced her to become part of the blackmailing racket.
