Bhubaneswar: A full grown wild bear which fell into a well in Sukinda was rescued safely by joint efforts of Fire Services, Forest Department and ODRAF personnel. The bear fell into a 35-feet deep well today morning.
It took the rescue team more than eight hours to bring the bear out with the help of a excavator. It was a tedious operation which was to be carried out in precision, ensuring that the animal does not get injured, the team members said.
The bear after being rescued underwent a checkup and was later released into the forest. A huge crowd gathered around the site to catch a glimpse of the rescue operation which last for more than 8 hours.
