Wild Elephant Tramples Man To Death In Angul

Bhubaneswar: A man was trampled to death by a wild tusker at Bhagamunda village under Chhendipada block in Angul district on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Prasanna Nayak.

According to reports, Prasanna had gone to a nearby mango orchard to collect mangoes when he encountered a wild elephant. Despite trying to save himself, Prasanna was trampled and thrown by the elephant, resulting in his instant death.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Chhendipada forest division team reached the scene and initiated an investigation.

The body has been seized and sent for post-mortem examination.
