Wild Elephant Tramples Youth To Death In Angul

Angul: A 25-year-old youth was killed after being attacked by a rogue elephant at Tarabha village under Purunakote police limits on Wednesday night.

The deceased, identified as Anil, son of Ganeswar Bhoi. Anil was reportedly attacked by a wild elephant while he was returning home on Wednesday night.

The villagers found Anil’s body lying on the ground today morning and immediately rushed him to Angul District Headquarters Hospital, where he was declared dead.

The incident has sparked tension in the area, with villagers demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
