Bolangir: Residents of Patnagarh are in a state of panic as a wild elephant has been roaming in the area since early morning on Friday. The Forest Department has also issued an alert suggesting people that they need to avoid coming in close proximity to the animal.
According to the Forest Department, the elephant entered Patnagarh through Brahmapura and is now heading towards Tamia forest. The tusker entered the city between 4 am and 5 am on Friday.
The Forest Department is on high alert as there is a possibility of the tusker returning to the city again tonight.
