Bhubaneswar: The cold wave has intensified in Odisha, with the temperature dropping to a record low of 3°C in Semiliguda.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the temperature has plummeted to 3.5°C in Semiliguda, marking the lowest temperature this winter.
The temperature in G Udayagiri has also dipped to 4°C, making it the coldest night in the region. The IMD has reported that 16 cities in Odisha have recorded a temperature of 10°C or below.
Going by the IMD data, the temperature in various parts of Odisha has dropped significantly, with Phulbani recording a low of 5.2°C, followed by Chipilima at 6.1°C, Rourkela at 6.6°C, and Jharsuguda at 6.8°C. Daringbadi has recorded a temperature of 7°C, while Bhawanipatna has dropped to 8°C.
