Koraput: Bodies of a woman and her 2-year-old daughter were found hanging inside a house at Lachhamani village under Kakirigumma police limits in Koraput district today.
The deceased have been identified as Padma Santa and her daughter Mariam Santa.
According to reports, today morning, neighbours saw the bodies of Padma and her daughter hanging inside their house and informed the police.
Police on reaching the spot recovered the bodies.
Padma and her daughter were staying alone in the house as her husband had gone outside their village for work.
Though it is not clear whether the mother-daughter duo committed suicide or they have been murdered, it is suspected that it could be a case of suicide due to a domestic dispute.
Police and its scientific team are investigating the matter.
