Sundargarh: In a tragic incident, a woman goat grazer and five goats were killed after a trailer-truck ran over them on Town Thana Amlipali Bypass Road in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Tuesday.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the woman was returning home after grazing her goats in a nearby meadow. As she was crossing the Amlipali Bypass Road with the animals, a speeding trailer-truck ran over them, killing them all on the spot.
The deceased woman has been identified as a resident of Amalipali village.
Soon after the fatal accident, locals gathered at the spot and staged a road blockade demanding compensation to the deceased’s kin and checking reckless driving. Tension prevailed at the scene till the time of filing this report.
