Bhubaneswar: A woman allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her paramour at Jaleswar block in Balasore district.
The deceased has been identified as Ramakant Ghosh, a resident of Gobarghata grampanchayat.
The accused, identified as Jahnavi, wife of Ramakant Ghosh and Manas Ghosh (lover), were detained by villagers after the body of Ramakanta Ghosh was found hanging from a rope in their home.
According to reports, Ramakanta, a tea stall owner, was found dead on Saturday morning. Villagers suspected foul play and detained Jahnavi and Manas, accusing them of murder. The police intervened, rescued Manas from the villagers’ custody, and took him into custody for further investigation.
Upon being informed, Jaleswar police have seized the body and launched an investigation into the matter to determine whether it was a case of murder or suicide after completing the investigation.
