Bhubaneswar: A woman, an ex-assistant professor of a private institute here has levelled allegations of being raped in Bhubaneswar.
The woman, a resident of Raipur in Chhattisgarh, had initially filed a complaint at Karib Nagar area alleging that she was sexually assaulted and blackmailed by the accused. Later, the case was transferred to Khandagiri police here.
The victim, said DCP Prateek Singh, had developed some closeness with the accused, during her stay here. She alleged that the person raped her after spiking her drink with an intoxicant.
Singh added, “On the basis of her complaint, a case has been registered a manhunt on to nab the accused. A special team has been formed to probe this case.” The woman, had quit her job and left the city following the incident.
