Malkangiri: A woman consumed poison after an argument with her husband over a smartphone. Such an incident has occurred at Mpv 14 in Kalimela block of Malkangiri district.
Reportedly, Kanai of the village had married Jyoti a year back. Soon after it Kanai bought a smartphone for Jyoti on monthly finance basis. However, he had not informed Jyoti about the finance.
After the end of the installments, an employee of the finance company visited Kanai’s house to get his signature. As Kanai was absent, Jyoti came to know about the finance.
Later when Kanai returned home, Jyoti had an argument with him and consumed poison. Watching it, Kanai also got critical. Both of them were admitted to the district headquarters hospital where Jyoti was declared dead.
