Bhubaneswar: A woman sustained severe injuries after being allegedly attacked by her neighbour over a long-standing land dispute at Deulapalli village under Purusottampur police limits in Ganjam district.
The victim has been identified as Kuni Mohanty of Deulapali village.
The incident occurred on Wednesday and Mohanty was rushed to Purusottampur Hospital in critical condition, later referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.
According to reports, Mohanty had previously lodged complaints with the police three times regarding the dispute, but the issue remained unresolved. The neighbour, reportedly upset over the ongoing dispute, attacked Mahanty with a sickle, causing severe injuries.
