Mayurbhanj: A woman died while her daughter was critically injured after a wall of their house collapsed due to heavy rain in Mahuliasuli under Sukruli block in Mayurbhanj district in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Reportedly, the woman aged about 60 was sleeping with her daughter when heavy rain brought down the wall crashing on them. Villagers rescued them from the debris and rushed them to a nearby hospital.
While the woman had died on the spot, her daughter is undergoing treatment at the hospital, said sources.
