Bhubaneswar: A 55-year-old female labourer died in a lightning strike in the Brahmagiri area of Puri district.
Women labourers, including the deceased, were engaged in tilling activities in a paddy field when heavy rain and lightning struck.
All the workers came out of the field seeking shelter. Two women workers were critically injured by a lightning strike when they left the field.
They were admitted to Banguri Community Health Center in critical condition, where one of them was pronounced dead by doctors.
