Woman Dies Of Electrocution In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: A woman died of electrocution at Nua Panikesharpur under Buguda police limits in Ganjam district on Saturday.

The deceased woman has been identified as Puspanjali Swain.

As per reports, this morning Puspanjali had gone to the puja room in their house to offer puja. Somehow she came in contact with the switchboard in the puja room and received an electric shock.

After rescuing her, family members rushed her to Buguda Community Health Centre by ambulance. However, she was pronounced dead by the doctors at the CHC.

On being informed Buguda police reached the CHC and seized the body before sending it for post-mortem. Police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating the matter.
