Keonjhar: Poverty and inhumanity of others forced a woman to dig the burial pit of her husband on her own. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The incident has reportedly occurred at Badanai village under Champua police limits of Keonjhar district. As seen in the video, the woman was digging a burial pit. When a local asked her the reason behind her act, she narrated her plight.
After Bhanja Munda of the village fell ill, his wife Pati Munda admitted her to Champua hospital. From there he was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where he died.
Following it, Pati was forced to borrow money to bring back the body of her husband. Later as no one came to support her, she had to dig a pit near her house to bury the body of her husband.
