Woman Dragged By Crocodile In Kharasrota River In Jajpur

Bhubaneswar: A tragic incident occurred in Kantia village under Binjharpur block in Jajpur district, where a woman was dragged into the Kharasrota river by a crocodile. Soudamini Mahala, the victim, was washing dishes and utensils near the river when the crocodile attacked her while she was taking a bath.

Locals witnessed the terrifying scene and raised an alarm, but unfortunately, they were unable to rescue her from the crocodile’s clutches. The fire services and forest department teams were immediately informed, and a rescue operation was launched.

As of the last report, the woman’s rescue was still underway, with the forest department searching for her in the river. The incident has triggered panic among the locals.
