Khurdha: In a tragic incident, a woman ended her life by suicide on Tuesday two days after her husband died in a road accident at Benagadia village under Bolagada police limits in Khurdha district.
Anindita Subudhi, wife of Gokul Kumar Sahu, hanged herself inside the house after being distressed over the death of her husband, family members said.
According to reports, Gokul Kumar met with an accident on Diwali while going to his electronic shop in Rajasunakhala Bazaar. Gokul Died on the spot. His family members took the body and performed the last rites.
After Gokul’s death, wife Anindita lost mental balance and committed suicide by hanging himself inside the house. A pall of gloom descended on the locality following the death of the married couple.
Gokul and Anindita had two minor daughters. Their relatives requested the government to take care of the orphan children.
