Bhubaneswar: A woman allegedly fed her two daughters pesticide-laced cold drinks before consuming poison herself at Bareni village under Lahunipada police station in Rourkela.
The woman who fed poison to her daughters has been identified as Tarini Munda.
As per reports, the incident occurred on Thursday evening around 8 pm. The daughters’ condition is reported to be stable, while Tarini’s condition is critical. All three were initially rushed to the Banai hospital. Later, they were shifted to the Rourkela Government Hospital.
According to locals, Tarini’s husband, Santosh, would frequently consume alcohol, create a ruckus at home, and physically abuse Tarini. Due to frequent quarrels in the family, Tarini allegedly consumed poison and fed poison to her children.
