Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, half-naked body of a woman was recovered under suspicious circumstances from a house in Nabarangpur village, under Sundargarh Sadar police limits on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjukta Kishan, a Community Resource Person (CRP) working under the state-run Mission Shakti programme.
According to reports, Sanjukta was reportedly living alone following her separation from her husband. Her half-naked body was found inside her residence, prompting police to suspect foul play. The discovery was made after the local ward member alerted the police.
A police team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) and the local IIC reached the spot and launched a detailed investigation.
While the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed, initial observations suggest the possibility of a murder.
Police officials stated that they are exploring all angles, including personal and professional motives, and are in the process of collecting evidence and recording statements from locals.
